Do you have the capacity, the REAL capacity, to recover quickly from difficulties and setbacks? Do you spring back into healthy, logical, clear, purposeful "shape" after adversity?
Resilience is the ability to quickly recover mentally and emotionally from misfortune, illness and unexpected difficult situations. Resilient people have the ability to adapt. Resilient people
are aware of their own emotional reactions during stressful situations. They are also aware of the behaviour of people around them. They are aware of their feelings and behaviours because they understand what causes them, and look out for triggers. By remaining aware, resilient people often maintain control of a situation and have the ability to stay cool and think of solutions.
Resilient children can effectively solve problems, are assertive, reliable, and demonstrate genuine interest in activities and learning. Resilient children set goals and have a sense of purpose.
When did you last check-in with your resilient YOU? How resilient are your children? Are they growing into resilient adults? Lets chat.
